Aren’t these the cutest?! These are a fall tradition in our family!  Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins for the win! You can make them for Halloween AND Thanksgiving!

– 4 Tablespoons butter
– 42 jet puffed large marshmallows
– 5 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal (Halloween orange)
– Orange food coloring if using regular Rice Krispies
– Tootsie Rolls
– Green icing (store bought tube or homemade buttercream)

Lay out a piece of parchment paper. Cut about 6-10 Tootsie Rolls in half depending on size of pumpkins.
Prepare Rice Krispie Treat mixture by melting butter and adding marshmallows. Stirring constantly melt marshmallows. If using regular Rice Krispie cereal you will now add and store in orange food coloring. Remove from heat and add cereal. Stir until well incorporated working quickly but gently. Working quickly spray hands with cooking spray. Even if using gloves. Roll cereal mixture into firm balls. Make an indention and add Tootsie Roll for stem. Lay on parchment. As they cool they may come apart a bit. Just press them back together as they cool and they will hold their shape. Pipe on icing for leaves and stems.
