I love a chocolatey dessert. And this pie never disappoints. If you are in the mood for chocolate soon then give this a try and let me know what you think. It comes together in ONE bowl!

My tips are to definitely use a 9 in pie pan. If you buy a frozen pie crust…those are slightly smaller than 9 in. Just FYI, so you may have to much filling. Also sprinkle the bottom of your pie crust with a light dust of flower or use an egg wash so that you don’t end up with a soggy crust. Enjoy!

– 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
– 1 1/2 cup sugar
– 3/4 cup chopped nuts (I use pecans)
– 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/3 cup cocoa
– 3/4 cup butter, melted
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, heaping
– 1 unbaked pie crust

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine first 7 ingredients until smooth. Pour mixture into pie crust. Bake for 35 – 40 minutes until set. (Cracks will form and should not be glossy)
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
