I love a quick main dish! These skewers come together so quickly and they are always a hit. I love that I can make small batches for a hot appetizer or larger servings for dinner. Be sure not to overcook and you will have juicy skewers every time!
[recipe title=”Sesame Chicken Skewers” servings=”4-6″ preptime=”35 minutes with marinating time” cooktime=”10-12 minutes” difficulty=”easy” image=”https://learneditfrommymom.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/sesame-chicken-skewers-2web.jpg”]
[recipe-ingredients]
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons dry sherry
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 garlic clove, pressed
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
4 boneless/skinless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-size pieces
¼ cup sesame seeds
[/recipe-ingredients]
[recipe-directions]
Shake together first 6 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag; add chicken. Seal and chill 30 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove chicken from marinade, discarding marinade. Thread chicken onto skewers, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Grill at 400° for 10-12 minutes utes until chicken reaches 160°.
Alternately you can broil: Arrange skewers on a lightly greased 15- x 10-inch jellyroll pan. Broil 3 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) 5 minutes on each side or until done. Serve immediately.
