This classic cheese ball is creamy, flavorful, and always a party favorite. Make it ahead and roll it in chopped pecans for an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer!
8ozquality sharp cheddar cheeseshredded, do not buy pre shredded
1cuppecanschopped, I like mine finely chopped
1 ½Tablespoonsdry ranch seasoning
Salt and Pepper to taste
⅛teaspoongranulated garlic
Instructions
Mix cheeses and seasonings together with hand mixer until well combined. Form into 1 round ball or 2 smaller servings. Place chopped nuts on a sheet of plastic wrap. Roll the cheese ball in the nuts until covered. Wrapped tightly in the plastic wrap and refrigerate 30 minutes or until ready to serve. Serve room temperature with favorite crackers.
Notes
- room temperature cream cheese is best
- I shred my own cheese as the packaged doesn’t taste quite as fresh
- my favorite crackers for this is Fire Roasted Tomato Triscuits and Wheat Thins. The Triscuits bring in an additional flavor and the Wheat Thins are basic but sturdy
