Have you ever wondered how to make boxed muffins taste homemade? Well, look no further-this Cinnamon Streusel Muffin Mix Hack is the one! Honestly, there are days when we just don’t have time to bake completely from scratch—and that’s totally okay! When my cinnamon streusel muffin cravings hit, this Betty Crocker mix is my go-to. It’s quick, easy, and surprisingly delicious. But with just a few simple tweaks, you can take it to the next level and give it that fresh-from-the-bakery flavor. Here’s exactly how to upgrade a boxed mix to taste homemade and feel a little extra special!

Freshly baked cinnamon streusel muffins in a muffin tin, golden brown and topped with crumbly streusel.
Golden, crumbly, and fresh from the oven—boxed muffins never looked (or tasted) this good!

I personally like the Betty Crocker boxed muffin mixes the best. They always give me the results I am looking for when pinched for time.

This is how I make the Cinnamon Streusel Muffin mix just a bit BETTER!

  • add a heaping ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the dry mix and stir in.
  • substitute milk for the water
  • add a heaping ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon to streusel topping and stir well
  • after adding streusel topping to muffins pat gently with back of spoon so the streusel mixture does not fall off

Fresh from the oven and smelling amazing—boxed muffin mix never looked so homemade!

THANK YOU BETTY CROCKER for making my life a little easier sometimes!
