Grease a quarter sheet to half sheet pan and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt butter in heavy sauce pan over medium high heat. Add marshmallows and melt until smooth while stirring constantly. Once the marshmallows are melted remove from heat and quickly add a drop or two of coloring and stir until colored.Add cereal and stir until all is coated and quickly remove to greased pan. Spread out smoothly. If using a half sheet pan then spread to desired thickness. You can stop short of edges by pushing with a spatula to edge it off. Cut shapes with cookie cutter while warm. Not hot. Sprinkle with sprinkles if using. Then add a lollipop stick. You will need to shape, then set aside to cool. Melt chocolate chips and oil in a microwaveable bowl in 30 second increments and stir until smooth. Dip back side of treat into chocolate and lay on parchment lined baking sheet to set.

Plan ahead for how thick you would like your hearts. Gauge the thickness you need to spread the treats with the thickness of your cutter. Using a gel food color helps with the brightness.
