I LOVE anything Turtle. The caramel, chocolate and pecan combination gets me every time! And these Turtle Brownies are no exception. They are packed with flavor and gooey yumminess! I know you will love it!
Turtle Brownies
Ingredients
- 11-14 oz. package of caramels
- ¾ cup melted butter
- ⅔ cup evaporated milk - divided
- 1 box German Chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Melt caramels with ⅓ c. evaporated milk in heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x13 pan. Or use parchment paper. Combine cake mix, remaining evaporated milk, butter and pecans. Stir until mixed. Press ½ of cake mixture into greased 9x13 pan and bake for 6 minutes at 350. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Pour melted caramel evenly over top. Spread if desired so it’s evenly distributed. Spoon or crumble remaining cake mixture over caramel evenly. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate 30 minutes to set caramel. Cut into squares.
