Festive Color Layered Drinks (Non-Alcoholic)

Refreshing, vibrant, and endlessly customizable, theyโ€™re ideal for kids and adults alike. Whether you're hosting a summer BBQ, birthday bash, or patriotic party, these drinks add a splash of color to any event.

For the Fourth of July, I went with a classic red, white, and blue themeโ€”but you can mix and match any color or flavor combo to match your holiday or party vibe. Best of all, Iโ€™m sharing all the tips and tricks you need to create perfectly layered drinks every time. Ingredients

  • 3 drinks in different sugar % amounts...You will read why below!
  • Also be sure and get fun festive straws and garnishes!

Instructions

To create the layered effect, you'll need three drinks with different sugar contents. Start by pouring the drink with the highest sugar content firstโ€”that will be your bottom layer. Then, working your way up, layer the drinks in order of decreasing sugar content.

Pour very slowly to keep the layers from mixing. I recommend holding a spoon or spatula just above the glass and gently pouring each drink over it. This helps the liquid flow softly into place, keeping each layer clean and distinct.

Ingredients

  • ยฝ cup Grenadine (or any high-sugar red drink)
  • ยฝ cup Frost Gatorade (or white/clear drink with medium sugar)
  • ยฝ cup G2 Blue Gatorade (or low-sugar blue drink)

Instructions

  • Fill each glass with ice.
    Pour the drink with theย highest sugar contentย (Grenadine) into the glass first.
    Using the back of a spoon or spatula,ย slowlyย pour the medium-sugar drink (Frost Gatorade) over the ice.
    Repeat with theย lowest sugarย drink (G2 Blue Gatorade), pouring very gently.
    Add a festive straw or garnish if desired. Serve immediately!
