Are you Team Fudgy or Team Cakey when it comes to brownies? Honestly, I can’t choose—I love them all! But if you’re craving a soft, thick, cake-style brownie that pairs perfectly with ice cream, these Deep Dish Brownies are your new go-to.

This recipe is rich without being overly sweet, making it the ideal base for brownie sundaes or layering with fudge topping and whipped cream. The texture leans more cakey than fudgy, so it’s perfect for those who love a light, tender bite rather than a dense chew.

Whether you’re serving them fresh out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla or enjoying them as a stand-alone treat, these easy homemade brownies are sure to be a hit. I love switching up my brownie game, and this one always satisfies when I want something simple, satisfying, and not too sweet.

Try them out and let me know—are you Team Deep Dish yet?

Instructions

I love brownies for their ease! Mix everything in a bowl until combined. Then pour into a well greased 8x8 pan. Then bake! That is all there is to it! See the recipe in action below!

Tips

It is important not to over bake brownies as they can dry out quickly. These only take about 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out with just a few crumbs.

Use a good quality cocoa powder. It will yield a richer flavor, since these are more Cakey I don't add chocolate chips so I depend on the quality of my cocoa.
