Easter Bird Nests add cadbury egg to center

4. Step 4: Add Cadbury mini egg in to the center where it is hollowed a bit, pop in fridge to set.

Watch the recipe in action here!

Hint: putting the baking sheet into the fridge for about 15-20 minutes will let that chocolate harden and set.

Substitutions

  • Peanut butter - instead of creamy peanut butter you can substitute peanut butter chips, same measurement
  • Candy - any egg shaped candy will work great

Variations

You can really make this your own! You can substitute white chocolate chips for semi sweet chips. Add peanuts for a salty treat.

Equipment

Not needing any special equipment is why this recipe is an A+ for me! Just make sure to use a microwave safe dish to melt the chips and peanut butter. For easy clean up use parchment paper, it makes life easier!

Storage

These store fantastic for a week! Place in an airtight container and they are always ready to eat!

Top Tip

Have your pan and candies prepared. Then spoon your mixture as soon as it is mixed, so that it doesn't harden on you.

FAQ

Can I substitute Peanut Butter for Peanut Butter chips?

yes! same measurements

Can I use something else besides chow mein noodles?

pretzel sticks can be used, but the noodles are the best!

These were so easy and fun to make! I definitely went a little more heavy-handed on the butterscotch chips because that's what my family likes and they turned out great.
