Holiday Kitchen Tips 3: How to Make Bacon in Bulk for Holiday Recipes

The holiday season is here, and that means our kitchens are busier than ever! Between baking Christmas cookies, preparing a Thanksgiving feast, and hosting festive gatherings, we’re juggling more recipes and more guests than any other time of year. That’s exactly why I love sharing simple, time-saving holiday kitchen tips to help make the season less stressful and more enjoyable.

In Episode 3 of my Holiday Kitchen Tips Series, we’re focusing on one of my favorite prep-ahead tricks—making bacon in bulk. Whether you’re whipping up a hearty holiday breakfast, adding crispy bacon to a brunch casserole, sprinkling it over appetizers, or tossing it into a festive salad, having pre-cooked bacon ready to go will save you so much time in the kitchen.

The best part? Cooking bacon in bulk not only cuts down on last-minute cooking chaos, but it also makes cleanup easier and keeps your kitchen running smoothly during those busy holiday mornings. I’ll walk you through my favorite methods for batch-cooking bacon so it turns out perfectly crispy every time—ready to use in multiple recipes throughout the week.

So, grab your baking sheet, line it with foil, and let’s make this holiday season more delicious and less stressful—one sizzling batch of bacon at a time!

And there is a video below so you can see it all in action!

How To Prep

Grab the largest sheet pan you own and that will fit in your oven. I love my full size sheet pan for this personally. I use it for baking 20 cookies at a time as well. You can find it HERE!

Next, line that pan with heavy duty aluminum foil. no tearing will help with EASY clean up! No thin foil!

Grab your bacon package and give in a good bend, right in the center. This will help your bacon slices to peel right off and not stick to each other.

Lay the bacon slices right next to each other, covering the entire pan. These will shrink a bit so you have room. Just don't over lap.

How to Bake

Bake in a preheated oven of 400 degrees. Bake 14-18 minutes until your desired crispness! That is it! So easy and NO MESS! Who has time to clean up messes at the Holidays? We want to spend that time baking with our family!

Grease

You will still have bacon grease to use in recipes! Just pour through a fine mesh strainer into a glass bowl with a lid and store in the fridge to use in recipes through out the season!
