Ingredients

  • mini shells pasta
  • whole milk
  • butter
  • Colby jack
  • American cheese
  • pepper
  • granulated garlic
  • seasoned salt

See exact quantities in recipe card below

Instructions

Cook the pasta according to the package directions until desired doneness. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan over medium heat, heat the milk and butter together until the butter is melted. Next, add the cheeses and stir continuously until they are fully melted and smooth. Then, stir in the black pepper, garlic, and seasoned salt to add flavor. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it well and gently stir it into the cheese sauce until evenly coated. Finally, serve the shells and cheese immediately while warm and creamy.

Equipment

Having a heavy bottom pot helps with distributing heat so that you have time to stir and melt the cheeses before they scorch. Here are a couple links to great options that I love. LINK Here and Here.

Storage

Macaroni and Cheese is so great as left overs! Simply add a couple splashes of milk and reheat! This will stay good in the fridge for about 4 days! Just keep it in an airtight container.

Pairing

I LOVE to serve this recipe with BBQ! And these Tender Baby Back Ribs  are the perfect addition!
