  • boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • pepper

  • granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • cumin
  • chili powder
  • salsa verde
  • chicken broth
  • lime
  • japapeno
  • white cooking wine, chicken broth or water

Instructions

This is truly aย dump-and-go crockpot meal, making it incredibly easy and perfect for busy days. First, add all of the ingredients to the slow cooker and stir the chicken until itโ€™s well coated. Then, cook on low for 6โ€“7 hours or on high for 3โ€“4 hours until the chicken is tender. Once done, simply shred the meat right in the crockpot, and finally serve it in tacos, rice bowls, or your favorite wraps for a quick and delicious meal everyone will love.

Top Tip

Using jalapeรฑo will control your spice level. if you like your meat spicier then add an extra jalapeรฑo.

Equipment

  • 7 qt slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ยฝ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup Salsa Verde I use the roasted variety
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 jalapeรฑo sliced and seeded
  • Splash white cooking wine water or broth can be substitutes

Instructions

  • Mix well in crockpot and cook on low 6 ยฝ hours.
    When done shred in crockpot.
    Use for tacos, burritos, enchiladas etc.ย 

Notes

For more spice add an extra jalapeรฑo.
White wine is not necessary if you do not have it on hand. Water or chicken broth can be substituted.ย
