Ingredients

  • refrigerated crescent rolls
  • butter
  • sugar
  • cinnamon
  • powdered sugar
  • milk
  • vanilla

See exact quantities in recipe card.

Instructions

To begin, unroll the package of crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface, being careful not to separate it into triangles. Instead, keep the dough in 4 rectangles. Next, roll each rectangle gently and pinch the seams together to seal the perforations. Once the seams are sealed, spread softened butter evenly over each piece of dough. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered dough. Starting from the long side, roll each piece jelly roll-style toward you, keeping the roll tight. Press the edges to seal the log, then slice each roll into 5–6 even pieces. After that, lightly grease a small sheet pan or use a baking stone, and arrange the cinnamon rolls with their seams touching. Finally, bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 12–14 minutes, or until the centers are fully set and lightly golden.
