Looking for a quick and easy dinner that will take yourย Taco Tuesdayย to the next level? Theseย QuesaTacosย are the perfect mash-up of tacos and quesadillasโ€”two favorites combined into one delicious meal! What I love most is how customizable they are. Everyone can build theirs just the way they like, whether that means loading up on cheese, adding extra toppings, or keeping it simple. Plus, you can easily switch things up by swapping traditional taco meat for shredded chicken, which is just as tasty. This recipe comes together fast, making it perfect for busy weeknights, and itโ€™s guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family. Give them a try and let me know how you like your QuesaTacos!

Instructions

To get started, warm or cook your taco meat with your favorite seasonings until itโ€™s flavorful and ready to use. Meanwhile, butter a hot skillet to create that golden, toasty finish. Next, place a corn tortilla in the skillet and layer it with a thin sprinkle of cheese, followed by the seasoned meat, salsa, and cilantro if youโ€™d like. Then, add another light layer of cheese before topping it with a second tortilla. Let it cook, gently spinning it around the pan so it doesnโ€™t burn while crisping up slightly. Once the bottom is golden and crispy, carefully flip it and cook the other side until itโ€™s toasty and the cheese has melted. Finally, remove it from the skillet and finish it off with your favorite taco toppings for the ultimate QuesaTaco experience! See the video below to watch this in action!

Equipment

I love a heavy duty skillet for this. I actually use a double burner griddle so that I can make several at one time. Here is a link to one similar to mine. I use this for sandwiches, quesadillas, pancakes etc! They are so handy when you have to make several of something at one time!

Toppings

These can be topped just like a taco! So just spread out any toppings you love. I eat mine with a fork and knife because I load on the toppings! But my kids who just like the meat and cheese inside cut it like a quesadilla.
