Ingredients

Instructions
So So simple! Just blend all the marinade ingredients in a blender until smooth. Cube the steak and add it all to a gallon baggie. Let sit for about 30 minutes. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat and add olive oil. Add the meat and let sear on one side then flip and continue to cook until done. About 5 minutes!

Storage
This recipe works perfectly for meal prepping. As always steak will keep 3-4 days in an airtight container. These glass containers are perfect for meal preps!

Tips
The longer the meat marinates the more flavorful it will be!
If you do not like much spice just cut back on the peppers and chili powder. It is easy to adjust!
Be sure to sear the meat that first time in the skillet!

Chipotle Pepper Steak
Ingredients
- 2-3 chili peppers in adobo sauce canned
- 1-3 teaspoon sauce from same can
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon chipotle pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 lime juiced
- ¼ cup water
- 3 Tablespoons cilantro leaves
- 1 ½ -2 pounds steak sirloin or flank
- 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In blender combine all ingredients except steak and oil. Blend until smooth. Either cut meat to bite size pieces or leave whole to cut after cooking. Pour marinade over steak and let sit 15-30 minutes while preparing rice and sides for bowls. If using diced steak, heat cast iron or heavy skillet over high heat. Add olive oil and when hot add steak to form single layer. Let sit for about 30-45 seconds. Then flip and continue to cook until desired doneness. About 5 minutesIf cooking whole steak, grilling is best. But you can sear for 2 minutes on both sides then cook until desired doneness. . Serve in rice bowls, burritos or tacos.
