This Tortellini Meatball Bake is one of the quickest and most satisfying meals you can add to your weeknight dinner rotation! It’s perfect for those busy nights when you need something hearty on the table with minimal effort. Keep a few simple ingredients—frozen meatballs, tortellini, and jarred pasta sauce—on hand, and you’re good to go. I like to elevate the flavor of store-bought sauce by blending it with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, a pinch of sugar, red pepper flakes, and a splash of red wine vinegar. It’s an easy trick that brings out rich, homemade taste without the extra work!

Easy to serve and even easier to love—perfect for busy weeknights!

This recipe is the ultimate fast and easy meal—just pour everything into a baking dish and walk away! It’s perfect for nights when you don’t have time to prep but can let dinner bake while you handle everything else. Assembly takes just minutes, then it bakes for about 50 minutes into a warm, cheesy, comforting dish the whole family will love.

Another fabulous quick weeknight meal is my Chicken Burrito Skillet!

Substitutions

This recipe is so versatile and that is what makes it amazing! If you love peppers with your meatballs, slice and add them in!

Switch out meatballs for Chicken meatballs. Just use what your family loves the most!

Storage

This dish makes amazing leftovers! My boys love taking it for lunch the next day. Just store any extras in airtight containers and keep them in the fridge for up to a few days—it reheats beautifully!

Saucy, cheesy, and packed with flavor—this meatball says it all!

Tips

  • I buy the frozen cheese tortellini, but any flavor works great!
  • For a better cheese melt and no starchy aftertaste, grate your own cheese. It's only a cup...super fast!
  • Make sure the marinara is well distributed throughout the meatballs and tortellini for the best flavor.

This is such a smart weeknight dinner idea. Using frozen meatballs and tortellini keeps it easy, and I love that little trick for upgrading jarred sauce, simple but makes such a difference.
