Looking for a quick and satisfying high-protein lunch or dinner? These Honey-Soy Steak Bites made with tender chunks of sirloin are the perfect solution! They cook up in just about 5 minutes and are packed with bold, savory flavor, thanks to a simple honey-soy marinade and a bright hint of lime that takes them to the next level.

I love adding them to a fresh salad for a light, energizing meal, while my boys enjoy theirs over a bowl of rice. Whether you're meal-prepping or need dinner in a pinch, this easy steak bites recipe is a must-try. Give it a try and let me know how you like it!

In the image above you see these steak bites on a salad which is my favorite way. However, the guys in my house love it with a big side of rice and steamed broccoli. Either way you have a protein packed and healthy meal!

If you want a basic steak bite recipe, which is how I got started with these try THIS recipe. These are fabulous for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

  • olive oil
  • honey
  • soy sauce
  • garlic cloves
  • lime
  • sirloin steak
  • butter

See recipe card below for exact quantities.

Instructions

This recipe comes together so quickly and you can have dinner on the table in about 30 minutes! Add the marinade ingredients to a glass bowl or zip top bag and mix well. Cut and trim the steak into 1 inch bites. Add these to the marinade and mix around until well coated and let marinate for about 20 minutes. Heat a cast iron skillet until hot then add butter. Once melted add steak pieces, this will probably take two batches. Let sear on first side for about 1 minute, then flip and cook on other side. This may take 3-4 minutes to cook through. Once finished remove to a plate and cover to keep warm and proceed with rest of meat. See video below.

Adjustments

Honestly, this recipe can be altered how you like. Adding a bit more lime can really bring out that lime flavor. Also, adding a bit of chili powder adds a spicy kick that I love as well.

Equipment

A good cast iron skillet is a staple in all kitchens. Here is a link to a fabulous one that will last generations! And I love that it includes a handle holder with is so convenient!
