Ingredients

Only 2 Ingredients! Halloween Oreos and white chocolate chips!

Ingredients for Halloween Oreo bark including white chocolate and Oreo cookies on a table.

Instructions

This recipe comes together so quickly, which makes it perfect for a last-minute Halloween treat! To begin, chop 12 Halloween Oreos into small pieces using a sharp knife. I prefer chopping instead of smashing them in a bag because it creates prettier pieces. Next, place the chopped cookies into a strainer and gently shake them over the sink or trash can. This step removes the fine crumbs, which helps keep your white chocolate from turning grey. This is also why I prefer pressing the cookies into the chocolate later, instead of stirring them in.

Meanwhile, pour the entire bag of white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 60 seconds, pausing every 20 seconds to stir. The chocolate may be ready after 40 seconds, so keep an eye on it. Stirring frequently is important to prevent scorching and to keep the chocolate smooth.

Once the chocolate has cooled slightly, line a quarter sheet pan with parchment paper. Then, pour the melted chocolate onto the parchment. Using a spatula or spreader, spread it evenly across the pan. There’s no need to go edge to edge—simply spread the chocolate to the thickness you prefer. Personally, I like mine a little thinner rather than super thick.

After that, sprinkle the Oreo pieces evenly over the melted chocolate. Gently press them down with your hand so they set into the chocolate. For extra flavor and texture, I also like to sprinkle a few of the cookie crumbs on top.

Finally, place the pan in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes, or until the bark has hardened. Once set, remove it from the fridge, cut into squares, and enjoy this festive Halloween Oreo Bark! Watch the short video below to see this recipe in action!

I can't find Halloween Oreos, how can I make this festive?

Use regular Oreos and sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles too!

Can I use Almond Bark instead?

Yes, for sure! I just prefer the Ghirardelli white chocolate for this recipe.

  • 12 Halloween Oreos

Notes

I prefer chopping instead of smashing them in a bag because it creates prettier pieces.
The reason the recipe calls for pressing the cookies in, instead of stirring into the chocolate is to keep the chocolate white. Sometimes when stirring in the chocolate can turn a grey color.
