I love a quick main dish! These skewers come together so quickly and they are always a hit. I love that I can make small batches for a hot appetizer or larger servings for dinner. Be sure not to overcook and you will have juicy skewers every time!
Sesame Chicken Skewers
Ingredients
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons dry sherry
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 Tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 garlic clove pressed
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 4 boneless/skinless chicken breast halves cut into bite-size pieces
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
Instructions
- Shake together first 6 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag; add chicken. Seal and chill 30 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove chicken from marinade, discarding marinade. Thread chicken onto skewers, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Grill at 400° for 10-12 minutes until chicken reaches 160°.
- Alternatively you can broil: Arrange skewers on a lightly greased 15- x 10-inch jellyroll pan. Broil 3 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) 5 minutes on each side or until done. Serve immediately.
